[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeInDown”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”6/12″][vc_column_text]The 4th World Conference on Media and Mass Communication 2018 was organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka together with collaborations of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy and Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia as the Co Hosting Partners. Dhurakij Pundit University, Thailand was was the academic partner of the conference.
The conference was held on 5th– 7th April 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. MEDCOM 2018 was chaired by Dr. Andrea Volterrani, Researcher of Sociology of Cultural and Communication Processes, Director of Master in Social Communication, Director of Master in Social Farming, University of Rome Tor Vergata.
The opening remarks of MEDCOM 2018 were made by Dr. Andrea Volterrani (Conference Chair) together with Mr. Isanka P. Gamage (Managing Director, The International Institute of Knowledge Management) The speech was given by Prof. Dr. Azizul Halim Yahya (Dean, Faculty of communication and media studies , Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia) on behalf of the Co – Hosting partner welcoming the conference participants.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Special Features – Students’ Gathering and Publication workshop
The conference was delighted and graced by two special features respectively Publication Workshop and youth gathering. The Perspective of the publication workshop is a Guide to Getting Published (GGP) and the workshop was facilitated by Prof. John V. Pavlik , Professor of Journalism and Media Studies, Rutgers University, United States.
The student gathering had been facilitated by Prof. John V. Pavlik and the occasion were enriched by plenty of insights from participants. Discussion was conducted on how to identify key features of a good research question while mainly focusing on,
- What makes a good research question?
- How do real researchers come up with their questions?
Students got the opportunity to create their own research questions on get the feedback and develop their research ideas.
